For students who require to pay tuition fees to study in Sweden, the Swedish government has allocated resources for two types of scholarships. Funding is awarded on a competitive basis by the Swedish Institute and individual universities. A monthly payment of SEK 11,000 to cover your living expenses throughout the study period. Insurance against illness and accident. Travel Grant. This is a one-time payment and does not apply for students already living in Sweden. A short answer to this would be – as soon as possible. If you are required to document your English language proficiency and already hold results of an internationally recognised test (see which test results are accepted by the Swedish Universities here), we recommend starting a few months before the application deadline. In case you still have to prepare and register for your language test, you will require significantly more time and will need to start planning your application well in advance.
